Pantone color of the year!

ROSE QUARTZ & SERENITY

PANTONE 13-1520 & PANTONE 15-3919
A softer take on color for 2016: For the first time, the blending of two shades – Rose Quartz and Serenity are chosen as the PANTONE Color of the Year
As consumers seek mindfulness and well-being as an antidote to modern day stresses, welcoming colors that psychologically fulfill our yearning for reassurance and security are becoming more prominent. Joined together, Rose Quartz and Serenity demonstrate an inherent balance between a warmer embracing rose tone and the cooler tranquil blue, reflecting connection and wellness as well as a soothing sense of order and peace.
The prevalent combination of Rose Quartz and Serenity also challenges traditional perceptions of color association.
In many parts of the world we are experiencing a gender blur as it relates to fashion, which has in turn impacted color trends throughout all other areas of design. This more unilateral approach to color is coinciding with societal movements toward gender equality and fluidity, the consumer's increased comfort with using color as a form of expression, a generation that has less concern about being typecast or judged and an open exchange of digital information that has opened our eyes to different approaches to color usage.

Pavé Extravaganza! Ti Sento Milano

Ti Sento Milano was started in 2003. The concept of their jewellery is to create a luxurious and fashionable, yet accessible jewellery range. 18K gold and precious stones were and are simply too expensive for most people…
With that in mind, sterling silver obviously comes into the picture, encrusted with fabulous cubic’s in all shapes, sizes and colours to match each fashion season. Europe quickly took notice of this new line of jewellery.

Since the booming start in 2003, now Ti Sento is available in over 30 countries. The collection matured in design, style and look, but never lost its playful charm. With over 650 jewellery pieces, brought in two collections each year, the Mix and Match principle got embraced.
With a wide range of rings, bracelets, pendants and necklaces, ear-rings coupled with or without ear charms, all is possible.
After mainland Europe, the rest of the world is picking up. Ti Sento Milano’s retail partners in the United Kingdom and Ireland voted the fashion jewellery brand, for the second year in a row, as the number one. The US jewellery Awards are seen as the most important and prestigious of the industry. The brand, which won the prestigious award in 2010, was nominated together with other major players in the market. One of them being its own sister brand Charming by Ti Sento.
Ti Sento designs are always feminine, chic and fashionable. The Rhodium Plated Sterling Silver pieces, some combined with beads or stones fits every woman’s wardrobe.

The Portofino Collection

Living the good life, that is what characterises the TI SENTO MILANO Spring/Summer 2013 Collection. Inspired by the good life, the exquisite surroundings and the Mediterranean climate of the fashionable Italian seaside town of PORTOFINO.

The Portofino Collection designs are fresh and surprising. Rosé and gold plated details have been added to many of its silver pieces. Presenting a wide selection of mix & match possibilities, there is always a jewellery piece appealing to a TI SENTO woman.

The TI SENTO Collection includes a number of different ranges, of which the Porto di Portofino range is leading.

The colours of the bay are reflected in the jewellery. The bright, summery houses and the colourful lifestyle of this small seaside town were a source of inspiration for the Collection.

The Champagne range was created entirely within the style of the Collection; Luxury, extravagance, over the top sophistication. One piece in particularly embodies the Champagne feeling: a bracelet set with hundreds of
pavé stones.

Statement piece are available in the Jet Set range; ideal jewellery pieces for an evening out on the town. The stones in these items are set in a casing of silver bubbles, which highlight the strong greens and soft pinks of the stones even more.
Vintage designs and Classics continue to inspire contemporary designs. TI SENTO has combined both in the Riva range. Modern jewellery with a classic, timeless twist.

The TI SENTO Portofino Collection includes 550 pieces of rhodium plated silver jewellery, several items are embellished with rosé and gold plated details. The jewellery pieces are available in various price ranges, starting from €27,00 . Over 3500 selected jewellers and department worldwide stores will be stocking the collection from mid-January 2013.

This season top model Michelle Buswell has returned as the face of the TI SENTO campaign.

Wedding Special: Dare to be different - Alternative Wedding Styles

KMK is a mother-daughter collaboration in cold Minnesota. We have always been creators, whether it be through painting, sewing, or sculpting. Sheridyn McClain the mother has always sewn her whole life making her own prom dresses when she was younger as well as her graduation dress from a pattern she made from scratch.
The daughter Kaitlyn McClain, has always designed and painted, designing her own clothes for her mother to help her make and drawing as long as she could remember.

Our talents came together a few years ago when both driven by the desire to create we found costuming as an outlet. As we designed and grew our name we found that men and women didn’t necessarily need more costumes. They did need more clothes that they actually liked and were flattering to their bodies. Flattering to their body even when they maybe weren’t a model size.

Clothes are supposed to make you feel as beautiful not self conscious or uncomfortable about who you are. We are dedicated to create things for all sizes all shapes for a women or man who are tired of mainstream fashion and want a little bit of the fantastical in their typical day as well as on eventful ones. We bring imagination to life by making beautiful clothes for women and men of every size.

We create outfits from gorgeous bridal gowns to everyday wear from fabrics we hand pick to be high in quality, comfortable and elegant. We love neo-Victorian, Lolita and Gothic. Our clothing can be characterized and a modern twist of Steampunk, Japanese lolita and a lot of fantastical creation.” - Sheridyn & Kaitlyn

'Step into another place and time where beauty was timeless and woman dressed elegantly every day.'

“This dress was created from our love of the Victorian era, it was an era of fashion that was so flattering and enchanting on woman's bodies, in this wedding gown we wanted to create a unique silhouette that is still far from the bore of everyday wedding designs but modern enough to still be sleek and classy.”

Alternative style: Steampunk Jewelry

“I started Inspired by Elizabeth in 2010 after a back injury stopped my nursing career in its tracks. I learned jewelry making from youtube and library books as something to occupy my time as I recovered. I began sharing my designs on facebook where friends recommended that I try to list my items on Etsy. After almost 1800 sales just on Etsy business is still going strong. I recently launched inspiredbyelizabeth.com which sells bridesmaids jewelry, Steampunk Jewelry and many other Vintage, Upcycled and Vintage inspired creations.

I make my bridesmaids jewelry using vintage glass that is handset into contemporary settings. I love creating unexpected color combinations and providing brides with a stress free way to buy unique handmade jewelry for their bridesmaids.” - Elizabeth Latham. Visit her shop and her website.

Making a statement: Eva’s Boutique Statement jewelry and more

We are presenting a small shop with unique handmade items: Eva’s Boutique.

Eva, the owner and designer for the shop lives in a historic town in the Western part of Romania, Timisoara. Constantly developing, Timisoara is the city where the already famous and bloody 1989 Revolution to overthrow the communist rule started.

During the long communist rule, where everything was hard to find and life was extremely difficult, her parents started looking for, sometimes repairing and selling beautiful antiques. Being around such unique historical objects have developed a passion for them in Eva and after the revolution, she opened her own boutique in town, selling antiquities for 14 years. Now the shop is rented to other businesses, but some of the small vintage and antique items are available in her online boutique for collectors.

With a strong passion for all that is natural and beautiful, as well as creating clothes and looking for beautiful fabrics, Eva has a huge collection of natural hand dyed silks.

With the natural silk fabrics, Eva has made many scarves of various sizes and with colorful satin silk fabrics, easy to wear and soft pajamas, for women, as well as for men.
She started with a huge blue turquoise necklace.
It was the beginning of a constantly growing collection of statement jewelry, combining different stones, colors and shapes into tasteful and stuning pieces.

In the following pages you can get a closer look at some of the designs, compiled from pearls, turquoise, lapis lazuli, natural Baltic amber, jade, moonstone, onyx, agate, coral, genuine Venetian Murano beads and more.
